Inside the World Premiere of the 2027 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 680 at the Newest Hotspot in Beverly HillsSeeing the 2027 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 680 was so much more than just lifting a silk sheet over a new car. The Germans celebrated the new arrival with class and sophistication. When I was invited to Los Angeles by Mercedes-Maybach to experience the 2027 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 680 firsthand, I didn't know what to expect. I packed my favorite heels and boarded a flight straight into the heart of Southern California's glitz and glamour. I was about to experience how Mercedes-Maybach introduces its most posh flagship, setting the stage for what its customers can expect and what will dazzle the world beyond. The world premiere event itself was, of course, complete with dramatic music, lighting, and the all-important and climactic sheet pull to reveal the Mercedes-Maybach GLS. There were hand-passed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. The audience and invitees included the Maybach family, dealers, elite customers, Mercedes-Benz team members, journalists and content creators.AdvertisementAdvertisementBut what made it really special is that it was held at the new Mercedes-Benz Studio Los Angeles, which is really in Beverly Hills. The party venue was not just a temporary home for Maybach for the night; it's where the brand will live and breathe and allow buyers to have their own bespoke experiences with the brand. This story is 100% human researched and written based on actual first-person knowledge, extensive experience and expertise on the subject of cars and trucks. As you can imagine, the vibes were immaculate and aside from unexpectedly burning my mouth on a tofu dish covered in sriracha mayo and standing around in heels, the night and event felt perfect. As was the stunning redesign of the brand's flagship, the 2027 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 680. It boasts a newly elevated aesthetic look highlighted by an illuminated standing star hood ornament as well as a new illuminated grille. Stepping into the vehicle feels truly special: the electric running boards extend smoothly in under a second whenever a door opens.AdvertisementAdvertisementAt night, the running board and steps are illuminated by integrated LED lighting, and a distinct Mercedes-Maybach pattern casts onto the ground. The moment the doors are shut, the running boards pull back seamlessly.Watch: We toured the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 680.
