In April, Hangsheng and NXP signed MoU 2.0 to reach a strategic consensus on system-level collaboration. The establishment of this joint lab serves as a tangible step toward realizing that strategy.As "AI-defined vehicles" emerge as a defining trend in the industry's rapid evolution, the lab will focus on three core directions: smart cockpits, software-defined vehicles, and AI innovation applications.Specifically, in the smart cockpit space, the partners will leverage NXP's i.MX 9 platform and wireless connectivity portfolio to implement system-level solutions across multiple customer projects. For software-defined vehicles, they will conduct joint R&D, pre-research validation, and POC design around NXP's CoreRide platform and S32K5 automotive microcontrollers, aiming to drive the adoption of next-generation electrical and electronic architectures.At the same time, the duo will prioritize the development and market application of innovative platforms such as AI edge computing. They will also continue exploring collaboration in on-device AI, embodied intelligence, and software ecosystem integration, seeking to unlock further potential for the deep fusion of automotive scenarios and AI technology.
