But Ferrari's Special Projects division in particular caters to the desires of its wealthiest customers for truly unique supercars. This team creates bespoke models with eye-catching designs based on Ferrari's existing range of performance exotica. Now, a new one-off Ferrari has been revealed called the HC25, and its sleek, futuristic bodywork cloaks a nonhybrid V-8 powertrain.Ferrari (Ferrari)The HC25 is based on the F8 Spider, which ended production in 2023. The F8 Spider was the last mid-engined open-top Ferrari to feature an unassisted V-8, imbuing the HC25 with a more old-school character. Still, the design is anything but retro, with a streamlined, modern face. There are hints of Ferrari's latest flagship, the F80, here, with a black trim piece integrated into the hood between the slim headlights, which feature vertical daytime running lights that cascade down the front fascia.Ferrari (Ferrari)A black band that flows up the fenders at the rear edge of the doors and into the engine cover divides the HC25 into two distinct sections. This band is broken up only by a bar milled from solid aluminum that contains the door handles, and the black section also hides air intakes to cool the V-8 and ducts to extract hot air from the engine bay. The band is angled forward, giving the HC25 a dynamic profile.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe yellow brake calipers complement the Ferrari badges, and this yellow and grey motif continues inside the cabin. The seats, which mix leather and fabric, feature boomerang-shaped yellow accents on the backs and bottoms, and there's yellow stitching on bolsters and across the dashboard. The overall design and structure of the cabin, however, remains the same as a standard F8 Spider.Ferrari (Ferrari)The powertrain is also unchanged, but that's no bad thing. The twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V-8 cranks out 710 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque, sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Ferrari claims the HC25 will zip to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds and 124 mph in 8.2 seconds, with the top speed listed at 211 mph. There's no word on how much the HC25 costs its lucky owner, but we imagine the millions of dollars are worth it to own such a unique machine.➡️ Skip the lot.
