Knight Rider KITT Car Busted by NYC Speed CamerasEthan Miller - Getty ImagesKITT, the star Pontiac Trans-Am from the show Knight Rider, is known for its many abilities. It can stop bullets, it can jump in the air, it can shoot flames at enemies, it can reach impressive speeds, and, of course, it can talk. However, one thing it apparently cannot do is avoid a New York City speed camera. According to a report by CBS News, KITT received a $50 ticket from the New York City Department of Finance for speeding in a school zone.In classic Knight Rider fashion, it gets stranger. The ticket for driving 11 mph over the limit in a school zone was mailed to the Volo Museum in Volo, Illinois. The car has been on display at that museum for years.Of course, on Knight Rider KITT did have the ability to drive itself. Maybe it snuck out for a late-night run to the Big Apple.AdvertisementAdvertisementTo prove that wasn’t the case, the museum sent a time-stamped screen shot from their security camera to the New York City Department of Finance. It showed the car sitting in the museum at the exact time it was accused of speeding through a school zone about 900 miles away. Not even KITT can be in two places at once.It is believed that the New York City speed camera system confused the novelty license plate installed on the car they caught on camera with the car in the museum. A spokesperson for the New York City Department of Finance said in a statement that the group is looking into the matter. Hopefully, it gets resolved without having to get the Hoff involved. You Might Also LikeIf You Can Only Own One Car, Make It One of TheseThese Are the Most Popular Cars by State
