CATL has officially announced a mass production cooperation with Turkish automotive brand Togg on its Bedrock Chassis. Under the agreement, Togg will collaborate with CATL’s subsidiary, Intelligent Technology (CATL Intelligent Technology), to jointly develop three models based on Togg’s all-new B‑platform. The first model is scheduled to enter mass production in 2027. CATL, Togg reach cooperation. As Turkey’s top‑selling local new energy vehicle brand, Togg started mass production and deliveries back in 2023 and enjoys strong brand recognition in its home market. Under this partnership, Togg will lead user experience design, vehicle product requirement definition, and digital architecture development, while CATL will provide the vehicle foundation through its Bedrock Chassis. It is worth noting that the Bedrock Chassis, through its innovative decoupled architecture separating the upper and lower vehicle bodies, enables independent development and parallel iteration of the chassis and the upper body space, while also improving space efficiency between the battery and chassis as well as the overall energy efficiency of the battery, e‑drive, and thermal management systems. For OEMs, this approach can significantly shorten the vehicle development cycle and lower entry barriers. The standardized chassis can be directly adapted to different body styles, helping automakers complete product deployment at lower cost and faster speed. According to previous official statements, with the help of the Bedrock Chassis, the time from project start to mass production can be shortened from the traditional minimum of 36 months to just 12 to 18 months. CATL Bedrock Chassis. As early as the end of 2024, Avatr became the first partner to launch the Bedrock Chassis, followed by BAIC Arcfox, Neta, Voyah, and T3. Entering 2026, CATL officially launched the Bedrock L4 fully redundant chassis technology for L4 driverless scenarios at the Beijing International Auto Show, and has continued intensive discussions with multiple overseas companies on skateboard chassis cooperation. This cooperation, as China’s first integrated intelligent chassis supply project for overseas passenger car markets, also marks the beginning of CATL’s technology export.
