No, we're talking two dirt bikes, one kart.One of the coolest things about learning to do something yourself, in my opinion, is that you won't ever look at similar things to whatever you've just learned to do the same way in the future. And really, I'm talking about learning how to do anything at all; not just mechanical stuff, though that's certainly in there, too.Back in culinary school, I had a pastry instructor who had us laminate croissant dough by hand, even though we could have used the perfectly good sheeters we had in the classroom at any time. Why did she do that? Not just to help develop our upper body strength, though it might have felt that way at the time. The process of working that cold, hard butter into the dough so that we could achieve all those flaky, beautiful layers in the finished croissants when they baked taught us more about how it worked simply because we had to be so hands-on.Now, turning over that process to a machine would certainly have been faster, and it's definitely something that you'd do in a commercial kitchen. But to be able to correctly analyze the dough and know when its texture and behavior were correct, as well as when the ratios were off, we truly had to get up to our elbows in dough. And ever since that point, I've truly been a joy to eat croissants with, because oh boy, can I analyze how the dough was treated before it was portioned, shaped, and baked. The road that leads to this, as The Fast and the Furious franchise screenwriters might say.Lots of people do crazy engine swaps involving motorcycles; and heaven knows, we've written about plenty of those types of builds in the past. But far fewer decide to take two entire dirt bikes and do something like this. Sure, there are motorcycle chariots, which they actually reference in this video. By the end, in fact, since they've essentially only linked the steering on the two bikes and not the throttles, they've essentially made a slightly different configuration of the motorcycle chariot idea. AdvertisementAdvertisementLots of people can also have insane ideas about builds they want to accomplish, but not everyone has the skills, equipment, and willingness to fail now so they can eventually succeed after they troubleshoot a thing that the GHPC guys have. They understand that things not going completely to plan is part of the process, are able to laugh it off, and move on to solve the problem. When you're trying something no one has blueprints for, all you really have is your brain, your hands, and your ability (and willingness) to find a way through.
