US partner Faction offers such autonomous delivery vehiclesImage: Faction TechnologyUntil now, Ari Motors has primarily been known for importing Chinese electric cars, which the company rebrands and markets under its own name. Its most recent offering was the ‘smallest camper van in Germany‘ (DE), based on the Ari 458 Pro. However, the company, based in Borna near Leipzig and listed on the stock exchange since 2023, is now pursuing an even more ambitious venture: entering the autonomous delivery vehicle market. To this end, Ari Motors signed a letter of intent in November with technology partners Faction Technologies (USA) and TUGA Innovations (Canada/USA). This move aims to prepare the company’s entry into the autonomous delivery vehicle market and lay the foundation for a significant expansion of its future operations. The agreement also included the establishment of a joint venture, Arvia, to develop and scale autonomous delivery vehicles for Europe and the USA.Since then, the partners have made significant progress – and Arvia is now set to list on the Swedish Spotlight Stock Market through an initial public offering (IPO). According to Ari Motors, the goal of the transaction is to create the conditions for further growth in the autonomous delivery vehicle sector while attracting international investors, particularly from Scandinavia. The IPO is expected to take place within the coming months. In January, it was announced that Ari Motors would increase its stake in the new company to 40 per cent. As part of the transaction, existing Ari shareholders are set to receive one new Arvia share for every ten Ari shares they hold.In the same January announcement, Ari Motors stated that the first 200 autonomous delivery vehicles from the Ari Group’s European production facilities would be manufactured and delivered this year for Faction’s existing customer programmes in the USA. Ari Motors now reports that it is developing its first proprietary prototype for autonomous delivery vehicles. Two vehicles are already in production at the company’s Czech manufacturing facility, with the first prototype expected to be completed by May 2026. Following this, the vehicles will be presented to selected potential customers, particularly in the USA.Ari Motors anticipates a potential market for 10,000 of these autonomous delivery vehicles over the next three years. In addition to typical applications in urban delivery logistics, Ari and Arvia aim to target security-related and governmental use cases – such as military or infrastructure contexts – as additional market segments.eqs-news.com
