On June 15, Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance announced cumulative deliveries of the AITO M6 had exceeded 30K units. The milestone came only 54 days after the model entered the market. AITO M6 Official Poster: 30,000 Deliveries in 54 Days The midsize-to-large SUV launched on April 22 with a starting price of RMB 259.8K ($36.2K). AITO markets the vehicle as a “smart SUV” aimed at younger buyers. The delivery ramp has been rapid. The M6 crossed 10K deliveries within 19 days of launch, passed 20K units after one month, then reached 30K units in less than two months. Strong product specifications have helped drive demand. Every variant comes standard with Huawei’s ADS advanced driver-assistance system, an 896-line LiDAR sensor. AITO M6 The model offers both battery-electric, range-extended powertrains. The EV version uses a 100-kWh ternary lithium battery pack, delivering up to 760 km of CLTC range. The range-extender version offers up to 1,605 km of combined CLTC range, up to 355 km of pure-electric driving range. Unlike the more premium M9 and M8, the M6 competes directly in China’s crowded RMB 250K ($34.8K) EV SUV segment. Its rivals include the Tesla Model Y, Li Auto i6, Xiaomi YU7, the recently launched Onvo L80. Competition remains intense. Model Y sold 28,911 units in May; Li Auto i6 delivered 20,878 units, highlighting the continued dominance of leading models. The strategy mirrors moves seen elsewhere in China’s EV market. Once production reaches scale, lower-priced variants can help boost factory utilization, expand total deliveries, reduce platform costs, ease supply-chain expenses. Tesla’s sales mix provides a useful benchmark. Entry-level Model Y variants account for more than 70% of the model’s total sales volume. If priced aggressively, the new M6 variant could strengthen AITO’s role as a volume driver for Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance, helping the brand gain share across the crucial RMB 200K-300K ($27.9K-$41.8K) mainstream SUV market.
