BMW has released one final teaser of the all-new 2027 X5 ahead of its official debut tomorrow, offering a first look at the SUV's redesigned front-end.The image reveals a new X-shaped LED daytime running light signature, a design element that appears to build on the Neue Klasse styling first seen on the upcoming iX3. The headlights flank a slimmer interpretation of BMW's signature kidney grille, giving the X5 a noticeably different look from the outgoing model. The next-generation X5, internally known as the G65, will be one of BMW's most versatile models yet. Depending on the market, buyers will be able to choose from gasoline, diesel, plug-in hybrid, battery-electric, and hydrogen fuel-cell powertrains. It will also mark BMW's first hydrogen-powered production vehicle after years of prototype development.AdvertisementAdvertisementWhile BMW hasn't confirmed which version is shown in the teaser, previous reports indicate the gasoline-powered X5 will arrive first, with U.S. deliveries expected to begin before the end of 2026.Beyond its new styling and expanded range of powertrains, the G65 X5 is also expected to grow in size and weight. Reports suggest the SUV could tip the scales at roughly 6,200 pounds, potentially making it the heaviest production BMW ever built. That would surpass even the current XM and electric i7.BMW will reveal the 2027 X5 in full tomorrow, when final details on its design, powertrains, and technology are expected to be announced.Become an AutoGuide insider.
