Image: XChargeXCharge has appointed Albina Iljasov as Co-CEO in a move aimed at strengthening the company’s operational execution and international growth. In her new role, Iljasov will also oversee XCharge’s ongoing initiatives in information security and cybersecurity, according to a press release shared with us via email.The company said the appointment reflects “the company’s advancing global expansion and the Board of Directors’ conviction that a Co-Chief-Executive-Officer structure will further strengthen the company’s operational execution and international growth.”IIljasov has served as Head of Europe at XCharge since September 2021, leading the company’s business activities across the European market. Before that, she held the position of Head of Sales and Business Development Europe. Prior to joining XCharge, she worked for competitors EVBox and E.ON Drive, focusing on business development and regional sales initiatives across Europe.XCharge is an international charging infrastructure manufacturer with roots in China. The company is now managed from dual global headquarters in Hamburg and Austin, Texas, while production remains primarily based in Asia. Since entering the European market in 2017, XCharge has installed around one-third of its global total of 9,000 charging units in Europe.XCharge maintains its European headquarters in Hamburg, where the company opened a development lab in 2024. Since last September, the company has also operated a technology centre with a warehouse in the Spanish capital, Madrid.
