Volvo has received approval from the Office of Information and Communications Technology and Services (ICTS) to continue importing "connected vehicles."The carve-out allows Volvo to skirt the import crackdown under a U.S. rule called Securing the Information and Communications Technology and Services Supply Chain: Connected Vehicles. Without the approval, Volvo, which is majority owned by China's Geely Holding, would be effectively barred from importing the majority of its lineup into the United States.
