Given that it's a decade in the making, the all-new Q7 is quite the leap ahead from the previous generation, not just in design, but also tech and performance.Audi of America has since announced pricing for its three-row SUV, along with the trims available. So, which one suits your budget and needs the best? Read on.AudiPremium: $70,900We kick off the Audi Q7 trim comparison with the entry-level Premium. But to call it a base model isn't exactly doing it justice, as it's already packed with heaps of standard equipment. Keen to drive people into its showrooms, the SUV is far better equipped from the start than its predecessor had ever been.AdvertisementAdvertisementSo, what do you get in the 'least expensive' Q7? There are LED headlights with animation and 3 digital DRL signatures, adaptive cruise assist with lane departure warning, a top-view camera, and a virtual cockpit plus. It also comes with tire pressure monitoring, power-folding third-row seats for added convenience, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual wireless charging, head-insulating glass, and a panoramic sunroof. For families with more than two children, they'll be pleased to know that it has six child seat mounts on board. As for the engine, it comes standard with a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 shared with the RS 5 sans the plug-in hybrid system. It's good for 429 hp and 442 lb-ft, easily eclipsing the old 3.0-liter turbo V6 that made 335 hp and 369 lb-ft.AudiPremium Plus: $75,300As it is, the Premium is already pretty well-equipped. It has more than enough features to satisfy most, and we reckon many will be satisfied. So, what does the extra $4,400 get you if you go for the Premium Plus? And is it worth it?On top of everything the Premium already offers, the Premium Plus comes with enhancements that could tempt you to spend more cash. It adds the Bang & Olufsen Premium sound system with 3D sound, dashcam, a driver monitoring camera, power soft-closing doors, and ventilated front seats. The sound system alone is worth the extra, and those in hotter climes will appreciate the standard front-seat coolers.AudiPrestige: $84,900Of all the Audi Q7 trims, it's the Prestige that sits at the top. The Premium is already looking like a good buy, and the Premium Plus has features that are well worth getting. That said, the other variants don't make the Prestige irrelevant thanks to exclusive features and more standard kit.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe Prestige is $9600 more than the Premium Plus and $14,000 on top of the Premium. However, the Prestige gets you all the features already found in the other trims plus Digital Matrix LED headlights, adaptive air suspension, projector turn signals, upgraded sport seats, power adjustable bolsters, and front seat massagers.AudiAvailable Option PacksCaptain's chairs ($450), the Black Optic Package ($650 to $1,750, depending on trim), and tow hitch ($750) are available on all trims, while optional on Premium Plus and Prestige is the Bang & Olufsen 4D Premium sound system. However, there are also other packages that are exclusive to specific trims. For the Premium, the Convenience Package ($900) adds a dashcam, heated 2nd-row seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated door armrests and a center armrest, turning it into a lite version of the Premium Plus.Speaking of, the Premium Plus allows you to upsize your wheels, something that isn't possible with the Premium based on the configurator. This trim gets two unique option packs, namely the Vision Package and Executive Package. The Vision Package ($1,600) includes the Digital Matrix LED headlights with dynamic turn signals, a head-up display, and headlight washers. Meanwhile, the Executive Package ($2,600) throws in dual-pane side windows, quad-zone automatic climate control, heated third-row seats, variable light control for the panoramic sunroof, and power rear window sunshades. As for the Prestige, it opens up the option of specifying 22-inch wheels and an exclusive color, but only when a certain pack is selected. With that, the Prestige option packs are the Luxury Package and the Launch Edition. Ticking the box for the Luxury Package ($4,000) adds automatic doors or Audi Smart Entry, a Dinamica headliner, and extended leather. Go for the Launch Edition ($4,850), and it gets 22-inch wheels, S Line exterior, black and dark chrome exterior highlights, and an illuminated grille, to name a few.AudiWhich One to Get?Out of all the Audi Q7 models, we're inclined to recommend the Premium Plus the most. It's not that the Premium and Prestige aren't worth it, but rather, the Premium Plus offers a good balance between the two. Even if you tick the desirable option packages, it still comes out less expensive than the Prestige, and you get far more equipment than the Premium.AdvertisementAdvertisementThat said, if you really insist on air suspension, the Prestige is the only way to go. On the flipside, if you're content with what the Premium offers, there's nothing wrong with that, too. Regardless, the Audi appears to be the value leader among its German peers.Still, we're looking forward to some seat time with the Q7. It's a very promising model, and we have pretty high expectations for it. It needs to be better than good, too, as the BMW X5 is looming in its rear-view mirror.AudiThis story was originally published by Autoblog on Jul 27, 2026, where it first appeared in the Features section.
