(NewsNation) — Stellantis is recalling more than 1 million Jeeps due to a potential fire hazard that poses a threat to people inside and surrounding the vehicles, federal regulators announced last week.The recall potentially involves 787,887 Wrangler and 289,112 Gladiator vehicles with model years ranging from 2021 to 2025, according to a notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. "Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures, until their vehicle is repaired."An estimated 0.1% of potentially involved vehicles are thought to have the defect.
