Gasgoo Munich-EVAS Intelligence has secured 1.5 billion yuan in a Series B funding round. The financing was co-led by the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area Industrial Upgrade Fund (Yigoutou), the Beijing High-Precision Industrial Development Investment Fund, the Beijing Information Industry Development Investment Fund, and the Beijing AI Industry Investment Fund. Existing and new shareholders—including Heli Capital, Boni Capital, Saie Industrial Fund, Longjiang Fund, Qingtan Capital, and Nine Capitals Venture Capital—also doubled down, alongside several key ecosystem players.Proceeds from the round will primarily drive the mass production and commercial rollout of the Epoch series, R&D for the next flagship product, the development of a software-hardware ecosystem, and global expansion, the company said. EVAS Intelligence remains committed to scaling the deployment of its RISC-V AI computing chips and platforms.Established in 2022, EVAS Intelligence specializes in full-stack, self-developed RISC-V AI computing chips and platform solutions. Leveraging a differentiated approach that combines a TPU-like architecture with the open-source RISC-V instruction set, the firm has already achieved mass production of its Epoch series AI chips.Image Credit: EVAS IntelligenceOptimized for large-model training and deep learning, the Epoch series is built on a RISC-V and RVV technical foundation. It natively supports FP8 quantization and is compatible with low-precision formats such as FP4 and MXFP4, striking a balance between computing efficiency, ease of deployment, and accuracy retention. Building on these chips, the company has constructed a comprehensive product matrix spanning chips, PCIe cards, servers, and intelligent computing clusters—adaptable to deployment needs ranging from single units to massive-scale infrastructure. The funding is earmarked for ramping up production and commercialization of the Epoch series, developing the next flagship chip, strengthening the software-hardware ecosystem, and expanding globally. The ultimate goal is to drive the widespread adoption of domestic RISC-V AI computing infrastructure.About "Seeds Discovery":Gasgoo’s "Seeds Discovery" column is designed to connect startups with ecosystem partners, investors, and local governments, empowering the entire automotive supply chain.
