Gasgoo Munich- NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang formally announced a partnership with Unitree Robotics during his GTC Taipei keynote on June 1, unveiling the Isaac GR00T humanoid robot reference platform. Built on Unitree's H2 robot, the system is aimed at universities and academic institutions.Image credit: NVIDIAUnitree has been named as the first partner for NVIDIA's new robotics system tailored for researchers, according to reports by CNBC. The Stanford Robotics Center, ETH Zurich, and the Advanced Robotics and Control Lab at the University of California, San Diego, have all confirmed plans to deploy the technology. The system pairs Unitree's H2 humanoid robot with NVIDIA's Jetson Thor hardware, which is powered by a Blackwell GPU designed for on-device artificial intelligence (AI) processing. The new robotics test kit also integrates Isaac GR00T, NVIDIA's AI model for humanoid robots, along with its simulation ecosystem. While Unitree manufactures the body, the hands are built by Singapore-based robotics unicorn Sharpa. NVIDIA provides the computing brain for the device.
