Image Credit: SirJeremetriusRockit/RedditDashcam footage is some of the most entertaining in the automotive world. The r/dashcams subreddit arguably provides the best of this footage, with plenty of videos cropping up every day showcasing the worst kind of driving you could possibly think of.One user, SirJeremetriusRockit, has posted footage entitled "You're going to let me over." In the video, which appears to have been taken in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, we are following a red SUV as the cars merge onto a highway, with our car then moving over into the inside lane. The red SUV in front, meanwhile, keeps going and stays in its lane. It is as we move over that a minivan emerges in front of us, and this vehicle proceeds to indicate to the right. The driver quite clearly wants to move over and merge in front of the red SUV.However, the gap between the SUV and the car in front of it is quite small. Behind it, as we have moved over, is a much bigger gap that the minivan could easily drop into if it eased off the gas. But the driver of this minivan was in no mood to compromise. The Minivan Forces Its Way Into the Outside LaneWhile the minivan is clearly indicating, he initially makes no effort to move over. So it is possible the driver of the red SUV thought he was going to wait for him to pass before pulling over. However, all of a sudden, the minivan lurches over to the right and forces its way into the lane.It nearly hits the red SUV in the process, and the driver of that car is forced to slam on the brakes and take evasive action. That move nearly sends him into the wall to his right, while the minivan just slots into the gap it made itself as if nothing had happened. The sudden maneuver clearly caught the SUV driver off guard, who wasn't expecting the minivan to force its way in front. The caption for the video simply read "On today's episode of 'Always Something in the DFW."" Quite clearly, it sounds like this is a regular occurrence on the area's roads. The incident led to plenty of chat in the comments section and debate among various users. Some even suggested that, due to the minivan's positioning, the red SUV driver never saw the other car's turn signal. Others also said it was entitlement on behalf of the minivan driver. The Lack of a Gap Was Brought up by Reddit UsersImage Credit: SirJeremetriusRockit/Reddit"There was no gap; it was someone who didn't think they should adjust to other people. Notice no attempt to slow down and get behind, just entitlement that they need to move right, and why would someone be where they want to be," said one user. "Based just on the video, I'm not entirely certain the red car ever saw the minivan's signal," added another, suggesting the red SUV had no way of knowing the minivan wanted to change lanes."I feel the Sienna didn't have to abruptly go over. Just speed up a little and go over," added another user. "Or slow down and get behind," said another. Some argued that the SUV driver was also in the wrong, but the vast majority felt the minivan driver had acted entitled and was too impatient. He could have just dropped back and merged behind the SUV, or even accelerated and, to make sure his indicator was visible, slotted in the way.If you want more stories like this, follow Guessing Headlights on Yahoo so you don't miss what's coming next.
