The key difference, however, is the powertrain. The Corvette ZR1X uses a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with a front electric drive unit and is significantly lighter than its EV rival, with Chevy listing the vehicle at under 4,000 pounds.AdvertisementAdvertisementDespite those advantages on paper, the Air Sapphire swept the Corvette ZR1X 3-0 in the quarter-mile races.
