lexus recalls 2022 2024 lx over passenger seat issue Lexus has announced a recall for 15,264 versions of the brand's big LX SUV, specifically 2022-2024 models. The problem, according to the manufacturer, is that the front passenger seat may have insufficient clearance between the seat frame and the stopper, which can cause the Occupant Classification System (OCS) sensor to incorrectly detect the occupant. What this means is that the vehicle does not comply with federal crash protection standards, as the LX may improperly deploy airbags in case of a collision. To fix the issue, Lexus dealers will inspect and replace the front passenger seat frame assembly, as necessary, free of charge. For owners of affected vehicles, Lexus will mail out notification letters by May 9, 2026. For now, customers can contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331.
