Kia introduces the PV5 Passenger 7-seat electric van Kia’s first electric van from its Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) business has been a smash hit for the Korean automaker since it went on sale in Europe, the UK, and several other global markets last year. In the first three months of the year, Kia sold over 8,100 PV5 electric vans. In Europe, it already accounts for 9.0% of the light commercial electric vehicle (eLCV) market. The PV5 is available in Passenger, Cargo, Chassis, WAV, and Crew conversion models, and now it’s available with up to seven seats. The new 7-seat variant adds a third row of seating to the already spacious electric van. Based on the same E-GMP.S platform, the new 2-2-3 seating configuration opens up best-in-class legroom of up to 1,732 mm, headroom (up to 1,075 mm), and shoulder room (up to 1,732 mm). The 7-seater is exclusively available with the Long Range 71.2 kWh battery in the UK, providing over 390 km (242 miles) of WLTP driving range. With DC charging speeds of up to 150 kW, the electric van can be recharged from 10% to 80% in under 30 minutes. A new “Elite” trim is now available for both the 2027 PV5 Passenger 5-seat and 7-seat models. The Elite grade includes everything the Plus grade features, plus electric sliding doors (with Power Door Latch), ventillated front seats, surround view monitor, blind spot view monitor, park distance warning, and premium paint.
