McMurtry Production-Ready Spéirling Almost HereMcMurtry AutomotiveThe record-breaking, all-electric McMurtry Spéirling supercar is only a week away from its official, production-ready reveal.McMurtry Automotive teased the Spéirling Pure version of its single-seat electric hypercar with a single, shadowy image. Don't necessarily expect this upcoming production version to mirror the 1000-hp prototypes, either. McMurtry said that the Spéirling Pure is comprised of 95 percent new parts compared to its prototype sibling. The Spéirling rose to prominence quickly, breaking lap-time records at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed and Laguna Seca Raceway in 2024. McMurtry equipped the bite-sized single seater with a 60-kWh battery pack and two e-motors mounted at the rear axle, but its real performance trick lies within a bespoke Downforce-on-Demand system. The Spéirling features a dual-fan setup that generates up to 4400 lbs of downforce at a standstill and quite literally sucks the car closer to the ground.AdvertisementAdvertisementMcMurtry has not yet provided any additional performance details about the Spéirling Pure. However, the automaker did say that the focus of the product version is improving ease of ownership and usability. That sounds a bit silly in the context of an all-carbon, single-seat hypercar, but the transparent level of performance on tap means that McMurtry is likely trying to make the production version a more approachable on-track experience.Spéirling Pure models will be limited to a production run of 100 units. The track-only version of the electric hypercar will be built in Cotswolds, England, and deliveries will begin later in 2026. Pricing and availability details are not yet available. You Might Also LikeIf You Can Only Own One Car, Make It One of TheseThese Are the Most Popular Cars by State
