Likewise, your Jeff Gordon T-shirt and torn jeans are, perhaps, not welcome. Nor your Carroll Shelby bib overalls. Your lady companion should upgrade from her Daisy Dukes, too. That won't do, Pip, that won't do.No, for you the uncouth American, or even you, the uncouth Brit, it's best to make a stop at Savile Row before attending Salon Prive. The award is sponsored by Clements + Church, a bespoke English tailor. You can look at just about any Savile Row shop, though, like Anderson & Sheppard Bespoke, "...the tailor of choice for men who wish to dress in comfortable, understated elegance," just because they use the word "bespoke" right there in the title. Wednesday and Thursday, September 2-3 is the Salon Privé Concours judging and presentations.Salon PriveFriday, September 4, is Ladies' Day by Boodles, which concentrates on fashion and motoring and which is the day they hold the ladies' hat contest.
