Troy Lee Designs paints some of the greatest helmet designs in motorsports. For more than 40 years, the artist has been creating bright, bold, and colorful graphics packages for drivers in the top tiers of car racing, and for some of the greatest motocross riders ever. Now you can get the TLD look on your new Ford Mustang, as Ford continues to show it knows how to keep the last pony car in the world fresh and new. And to Ford's credit, this special Mustang won't break the bank. That's saying something considering just how rare it will be. Ford Makes The EcoBoost Special Ford We've never seen the likes of the TLD Signature Edition package that Ford will offer on the 2026 Mustang EcoBoost. It is a sticker package, not hand-painted, but it's an incredibly complex treatment that makes the TLD Mustangs really stand out. The colors are part of the Mustang brand already, with TLD creating a livery in the same shades for the Mustang GT3 race car in 2023.Purples, reds, and yellows all come together in the world. The graphics package uses Troy Lee's Art and Speed style, but it also embraces classic Mustang graphics like the pony on the doors in mid-run. Yes, we've seen that on plenty of Mustangs, but here it's the treatment, colors, and stripes that are all new.Ford"I love all the details we were able to achieve with the TLD Signature Edition package, but getting to work with the iconic Mustang pony and incorporate that into the design was really special. [The pony] is such a recognizable symbol, so being able to reinterpret it through the Troy Lee Designs lens was a dream."- Troy LeeThe special edition Mustang package is only available in Shadow Black paint with stripes running down the sides. There is also a matching stripe on the hood, but it isn't a stock EcoBoost hood. Instead, Ford has added the hood from the Mustang GT, along with that car's grille and front fascia, to this LTD limited edition.Using the GT parts, which have extra nostrils and other changes, gave the design team more places to play. That canvas includes the Sinister Bronze color for the trim and the Mustang badge. The interior is only available with deep Carmine Red seat centers and door panels, with the dash contrast stitching the same color. Just 550 Copies For $3,000 More Ford Ford will only build 550 copies of this car, each with a $3,000 price tag on top of the EcoBoost Mustang. Each one gets a serialized interior plaque, and order banks for this (and most of the other 2026 Mustang lineup) open March 27.It's not the only cosmetically-enhanced Mustang arriving this year. The teal-and-purple 1980s Ford Mustang FX Package is also on the way. It pairs a paint job straight out of the Fox body palette with 80s-look seat inserts and white trim.Ford is also launching the Mustang RTR. It's another EcoBoost-only package that adds cosmetic upgrades from Vaughn Gittin Jr. 's RTR racing and also includes a healthy serving of performance parts from the Mustang Dark Horse. With all these relatively affordable 'stangs, is the new Dark Horse SC the least interesting of them all? Sure, that one has a supercharger, a gigantic wing, and a front end that looks like it's ready for kill, but it's not quite as inspiring to behold as some of these lower-level trims. And it's supremely expensive to boot. The 310-horsepower 2.3-liter EcoBoost four is still plenty quick, and if you've looked at gas prices lately, having a stylish RWD fun car that doesn't drink fuel by the tanker load becomes even more appealing.2026 Mustang TLD Signature Edition Package_06
