Ford Mustang TLD Signature Edition Brings 1980s Flair to 2026 Ford expanded the Mustang range toward the top when it unveiled the Dark Horse SC model, which is positioned between the standard Dark Horse and the supercar-baiting GTD. The brand is not forgetting about the bottom end of the range. It teamed up with Troy Lee Designs to create the Ford Mustang TLD Signature Edition, which gets 1980s-inspired graphics and a GT-sourced body kit, among other updates. Troy Lee Designs has developed apparel and liveries since 1981; Its signature “Art and Speed” style has appeared on anything from helmets worn by professional mountain bikers to helmets worn by NASCAR drivers. For the 2026 Mustang, the company chose to start with the base, EcoBoost-powered model. Available only as a coupe finished in Shadow Black, the Mustang TLD Signature Edition stands out with red, orange, yellow, and purple graphics that almost look like they were beamed from the 1980s. It’s a cool look that the Mustang wears well; It’s distinctive without being too loud. Ford also added the hood, the front fascia, and the grille from the V-8-powered Mustang GT for more aggressive-looking styling. Sinister Bronze-finished parts, including the 19-inch wheels, add a finishing touch to the look. Step inside, and you’ll find Carmine Red upholstery and a numbered badge on the passenger’s side of the dashboard. Ford didn’t make any notable mechanical changes to the Mustang TLD Signature Edition. Like the regular EcoBoost, the limited-edition model comes with a turbocharged, 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 315 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. The only transmission available is a 10-speed automatic. The Ford Mustang TLD Signature Edition is limited to 550 units. Pricing hasn’t been announced yet. Deliveries of all 2026 Mustang models, including the Dark Horse SC, will begin in the summer of 2026.
