As of the end of 2025, cumulative sales of the Hongguang MINIEV series surpassed 1.9 million vehicles. Days after the exterior was officially unveiled, SAIC-GM-Wuling officially released the interior design details of the fifth-generation Hongguang MINIEV. The interior maintains visual consistency with the exterior, featuring plenty of rounded elements. According to official images, the new car’s interior adopts a low-saturation “brown and white” color scheme, complemented by plaid patterns on the seats, creating a warm and cozy overall style. In the driver’s area, the steering wheel retains the same column-mounted shifter design as the current model, paired with a multi-function steering wheel and a 10.1-inch central control screen. This maintains a minimalist style while ensuring operational convenience. A clever touch is the open-space dashboard on the passenger side, which not only meets storage needs but also allows users to place decorative items and adjust the layout according to their preferences, greatly enhancing the interaction between the driver and the car. New Hongguang MINIEV Debuts Interior The fifth-generation Hongguang MINIEV also features ample open storage space in the center console armrest area, including a phone tray and two cup holders. Additionally, the new car incorporates a loop-knotted design on the door panels, paired with flowing chrome trim strips and seats that can recline up to 164°. It is reported that the four-door design, combined with 20 storage compartments and an 838L trunk capacity, takes comfort to the next level. New Hongguang MINIEV Debuts Interior The spatial design of previous Hongguang MINIEV models has always revolved around the concept of “maximizing the utilization of a microcar’s limited space.” The first-generation Hongguang MINIEV had a wheelbase of only 1940mm, while the new model features a combination of 3268mm in length and 2190mm in wheelbase, resulting in a qualitative leap in interior space and comfort. The intelligent features of the new car have not yet been officially announced. Based on the disclosed information, the technological upgrades focus on “interactive experience” and “seamless intelligence.” By the end of 2025, cumulative sales of the Hongguang MINIEV family had exceeded 1.9 million units, topping the A00-class new energy vehicle sales chart for 65 consecutive months.
