The new model adopts Exeed’s latest Perpetua design language and a plug-in hybrid system. The EX6 will enter China in Q3 2026 with strong overseas ambitions. As mentioned, the Exeed EX6 isn’t really a new model. It is a facelift of the Exeed Yaoguang SUV-coupe that was recently updated in China. This car sells in foreign markets as Omoda 9 (C9) or Exeed RX. The EX6 will become a part of the EX line, which currently comprises the EX7 crossover with electronic mechanical braking. In the future, Exeed will introduce more EX-branded models to the market. The Exeed EX6 The Exeed EX6’s body shape is similar to the mentioned Omoda 9. It has the same greenhouse (pillars & roof structure). However, the new model has a fully redesigned front end with a frameless grille, split headlights, and a large air intake. Its rear bumper has horizontally aligned reflectors. It also has semi-hidden door handles and a LiDAR sensor on the roof. The rear end adopts a single taillight unit. The ongoing Omoda 9 SHS. The 4WD version of the ongoing Exeed Yaoguang C-DM boasts a combined power output of 455 kW (610 hp). It speeds up to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. However, the domestic demand for this vehicle is extremely low. According to China EV DataTracker, Exeed delivered just 73 units of the Yaoguang C-DM in May 2026. Exeed is a part of Chery, which has been China’s car exporter for over 20 years. There is a high chance the new EX6 crossover will enter overseas markets shortly after the domestic debut scheduled for Q3 2026. It will most likely be sold in foreign countries as the updated Omoda 9 or the Exeed RX facelift.
