Gasgoo Munich- D-Robotics announced on September 17 that it has closed a $400 million Series C funding round, equivalent to roughly 2.68 billion yuan.The company intends to use the capital to expand its Sunrise chip lineup across all computing power tiers and build a comprehensive software platform spanning data collection, model training, simulation, and deployment. Powered by single-chip full-stack computing, high-reliability hardware, and an edge-cloud toolchain, the chip serves sectors ranging from humanoid robotics and industrial wheeled vehicles to 3C flexible manufacturing, embodied AI models, and multimodal perception. D-Robotics now claims a customer coverage rate exceeding 50% in the embodied intelligence space.Most of these projects have already moved into mass production. Bolstered by this broad customer base, D-Robotics' revenue surged several-fold in the first half of 2026 compared to a year earlier, while cumulative shipments of its Sunrise series chips surpassed 8 million units.Meanwhile, D-Robotics' innovation ecosystem is entering a harvest phase.Globally, more than 500 small and medium-sized enterprises, 500 academic institutions, and over 100,000 developers across 20+ countries have built hundreds of different intelligent robot products on D-Robotics' platform, serving millions of users worldwide.Central to this effort is the newly upgraded DGP Plan, which acts as an incubator for innovative robot scenarios and breakout products. The program offers robotics startups end-to-end support, covering everything from product development and supply chain selection to marketing and fundraising roadshows.The initiative currently supports open-source humanoid robots, AI coaching, embodied models, AI imaging, and home companionship. Several products developed through the plan have become category leaders and achieved mass-market shipments.Notably, as a spinout incubated by Horizon Robotics, Digua maintains comprehensive and close ties with its parent in the robotics sector.
