DENVER (KDVR) — Traffic deaths increased in Colorado in 2025, after a steady decline in recent years, according to data released Thursday by the Colorado Department of Transportation. (Courtesy CDOT) While the increase is small, CDOT said the data points to “concerning” trends, particularly in relation to impaired driving and bicyclist and pedestrian deaths. The agency said it will be gathering Friday with the Colorado State Patrol and statewide “safety partners” to share insights from the data and discuss plans on how to improve roadway safety in 2026.
