First, it faces a ban on imports into the U.S. due to the ongoing trade war with Canada, and now BRP has to deal with a recall on Can-Am three-wheelers and motorcycles equipped with a touchscreen display.According to recall documentation from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the display may reset, freeze, or go blank. As a result, the instrument cluster will not be able to show the vehicle speed or any warnings until it has been reset. At the time, BRP could find no common root cause. Fast forward to June 2026, when BRP re-opened the investigation after receiving more field reports. This time, BRP was able to determine the issue is dependent on rider usage of USB and Bluetooth connections. BRP initiated recall procedures on August 31. BRP says it has received 125 reports of display issues as of September 3.BRP developed a software update that should address the problem. Owners will receive instructions on how to initiate Over-The-Air updates to install the fix.
