The Best Dealerships program, in its 15th year, applauds 150 U.S. franchised dealerships for creating a positive employee work environment. Partner Workforce Research Group ranks stores on the overall list using confidential employee surveys and management feedback.
The best small dealership is Maguire Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram of Syracuse in New York, part of Maguire Automotive Group. The small category is based on stores and/or groups with 15 to 999 employees.
The best medium dealership is Bergstrom Nissan Oshkosh in Wisconsin, part of Bergstrom Automotive. That category includes groups with 1,000 to 4,999 employees.
Automotive News initiated six new categories this year to honor dealerships for innovation, strong career paths and community relationships that make their workplaces even better for employees.
Category winners, selected by Automotive News editors with assistance from Workforce Research Group, are:
AI and Technology Enablement, presented by Capital One, recognizes dealerships for implementing tech to help employees with time or cost savings: Don Johnson’s Cumberland Motors in Wisconsin.
Community Partnership, presented by Amazon Autos, recognizes stores’ local relationships, staff involvement and community benefit: Hendrick Lexus Northlake in Charlotte, N.C.
Leadership and Mentorship honors stores that create a path for entry-level employees to gain responsibility: Dave Wright Nissan-Subaru in Hiawatha, Iowa.
Retention, presented by Cintas, honors dealerships with the best retention rate: Suburban Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram of Ann Arbor in Michigan.
Rising Star honors stores with the biggest year-over-year improvement on the overall list: Lamborghini Naples in Florida.
Service Technician Experience, presented by Dent Master, honors dealerships with the best overall service tech experience: Eide Chevrolet in Mandan, N.D.
