Florida rallied late to capture its fourth consecutive Best Looking Cruiser championship. Michigan led most of the contest before finishing second in the final tally. More than 360,000 votes were cast by supporters across the United States. Each year, state troopers from across the nation compete to see which has the prettiest police car. Over the past three years, Florida has come out on top. This year, it appeared as though that streak would end, but late in the game, the Sunshine State stormed back to a fourth consecutive victory. Michigan spent much of the competition in first place, but Florida Highway Patrol’s communications team mounted a late push that ultimately propelled the state’s black-and-tan Mustang to a win. It also quipped about “hanging chads” and “late-night ballot dumps,” emphasizing that the good-natured ribbing was all part of the contest’s friendly rivalry. Georgia secured third place with 34,933 votes, followed by Ohio and Kentucky to round out the top five. Overall, 360,433 votes were cast across all participating states. Oregon received the least with just 185. Sales of the calendar support the American Association of State Troopers Foundation, which awards educational scholarships to the dependents of member troopers. If the winning streak goes on much longer, they might want to start including Florida in the name of the calendar. 2026 Best Looking Cruiser: State-by-State Vote Count RankStateVotesRankStateVotes1Florida52,24926Missouri3,3002Michigan37,65427Arizona3,2223Georgia34,93328Maine2,9904Ohio17,21229Minnesota2,9905Kentucky16,54130Utah2,7486West Virginia13,55231Nevada2,5467Indiana12,99132Vermont2,2158Oklahoma11,54433Iowa2,1619Texas11,16234Massachusetts1,98710California10,63135Pennsylvania1,97311Louisiana10,60536Mississippi1,89812South Carolina10,02337Montana1,74013Virginia9,42538Kansas1,73914North Carolina9,08939Wisconsin1,71415New York8,87740Nebraska1,67616Maryland8,21141Colorado1,64417Alaska7,25042Rhode Island1,39918New Hampshire7,02943New Mexico1,34719Arkansas4,56744Wyoming1,10120Idaho4,50645South Dakota91621New Jersey4,48046Delaware85122Alabama4,07947North Dakota26823Tennessee3,89748Oregon18524Connecticut3,86525Washington State3,451Total Votes360,433 SWIPE Photo Florida Highway Patrol
