Two weeks after prices for the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio Veloce were leaked, Alfa Romeo Malaysia has finally released official prices for the two cars. This comes two months after the CBU fully-imported compact executive sedan and SUV were previewed as part of the storied Italian brand’s return to the country. The figures are exactly as what was revealed, the Giulia Veloce retailing at RM438,800 nett excluding on-the-road costs, and the Stelvio Veloce at RM478,800. The on-the-road prices are RM440,078 and RM480,128 respectively, significantly higher than the previous estimate of RM400,000. Interestingly, Alfa Romeo Malaysia also provided duty-free pricing for Langkawi and Labuan, at RM228,800 for the Giulia and RM258,800 for the Stelvio – sneaking under the government’s new RM300,000 limit for 2026. A five-year/150,000 km warranty is included with every purchase. As a refresher, the Veloce trim – playing second fiddle only to the full-fat Quadrifoglio – brings with it the 2.0 litre Multiair turbo four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 280 PS at 5,250 rpm 400 Nm of torque at 2,250 rpm. That means the Alfas are slightly more powerful than the BMW 330i (258 PS) and significantly more than the X3 20 xDrive (190 PS), although of course you are paying around RM150,000 more for the privilege. Those outputs are routed to the rear wheels through a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox, with the Stelvio obviously (being an SUV) coming with Q4 all-wheel drive. Adding to their performance credentials, both cars come with a mechanical limited-slip rear differential. Each get from zero to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds, with the Giulia hitting a top speed of 240 km/h and the Stelvio, 230 km/h. Kit is mostly shared across both variants and includes gorgeous telephone-dial wheels (19-inch for the Giulia, 20s for the Stelvio), LED head- and taillights with triple concentric daytime running light rings, sport leather seats, a 12.3-inch instrument display with hooded binnacles, an 8.8-inch infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Qi wireless charger, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and Level 2 semi-autonomous driving features such as adaptive cruise control and lane centring assist. Alfa Romeo Malaysia has also announced it has opened its doors to Casa Alfa Romeo, its showroom located at Rhapsody Square at TREC Kuala Lumpur. The facility is said to anchor “Alfa Romeo’s experience where sales, after-sales service and spare parts are thoughtfully positioned in close proximity.” Further outlets in Penang and Johor Bahru are in the works.
