It took AITO just 4 years for its total vehicle production to grow from 1 to 1 million units. Today, at the Seres factory in Chongqing, AITO celebrated the rollout of its 1,000,000th vehicle, which was an AITO M9. This makes AITO the fifth new energy vehicle startup to join China’s New Energy ‘Million Club’, following Li Auto, Leapmotor, Xpeng, and Nio. It took AITO only 4 years to go from its 1st to its 1,000,000th vehicle, which is 3 years faster than Nio, which just reached its 1 millionth vehicle milestone earlier this month. Looking back at AITO’s delivery pace, it can be described as a ‘blitzkrieg’ in the Chinese new energy vehicle market. In December 2021, AITO simultaneously launched its brand and its first model, the M5. Just three months later, in March 2022, AITO delivered its first M5 to a customer. By May 2023, the 100,000th AITO vehicle rolled off the production line, taking only 15 months. In July 2024, just 2 years and 7 months after the brand’s launch, cumulative deliveries for all AITO models exceeded 400,000 units. Now, with today’s 1,000,000th vehicle, AITO has reached this milestone in 46 months. Officials stated at the event that AITO aims to achieve its second million vehicles within the next two years. Behind this million-vehicle journey is AITO’s rapid response to market trends. Currently, AITO has established a complete ‘5789’ product matrix, covering a price range from RMB 200,000 to 590,000, catering to diverse consumer groups. Here’s a look at the market performance of specific models in 2025: The AITO M9 delivered over 110,000 units for the year, remaining the sales champion in the 500,000-yuan price segment for 20 consecutive months. The AITO M8, launched in April, delivered over 150,000 units for the year, consistently leading sales in the 400,000-yuan category since its debut. The AITO M7 delivered over 110,000 units for the year, showing a noticeable decline compared to its peak monthly average of 16,000 units in 2024. The AITO M5 delivered over 30,000 units for the year. Richard Yu, Chairman of Huawei’s Terminal BG, revealed that while maintaining the current four-model lineup (M5, M7, M8, M9), AITO is likely to supplement it with an M6 model and iterate on existing products. As the first model to receive an iteration, the AITO M7 Extended-Range Long-Range Edition officially launched today with a starting price of RMB 299,800. As a new variant, the exterior of the AITO M7 Extended-Range Long-Range Edition remains unchanged, but it offers limited-time optional ‘Stellar Blue’ and ‘Pastoral Green’ color schemes. The Coral Red color still requires an additional RMB 6,000. The new model continues to offer five-seat and six-seat configurations. The Comfort Package includes a refrigerator/warmer box, headrest speakers, second-row privacy sunshades, and a WHUD. It will also be equipped with the Huawei Qiankun Advanced Driving System ADS 4. The highlight of the new model is the improved range. The CLTC pure electric range has been increased to 327 km, and the CLTC comprehensive range has been extended to 1690 km.
