According to the listing at Broad Arrow Auctions, the car is the only example of its kind ever to enter private ownership after serving the late monarch. The Bentley is expected to fetch between €400,000 and €450,000 ($456,084 and $513,095) when it goes under the hammer on October 14. By comparison, the 2016 standard model had a starting price of $311,440 when new; a used model would now go for roughly $76,000, according to Kelley Blue Book.Queen Elizabeth seen exiting the vehicle in February 2018.Neil Mockford - Getty ImagesThe Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase was one of just two built for Queen Elizabeth. First registered in October 2016, it remained in active royal service until 2019, when a newer model was delivered and this one returned to Bentley's headquarters in Crewe, England. It stayed under Bentley's care until Queen Elizabeth's death in September 2022. Bentley retained the newer car for its own heritage collection, making this the only version the queen used that has since passed into private hands.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe car was originally prepared by Bentley's Press and Special Vehicles Department with fittings tailored to Queen Elizabeth's preferences. For example, the "front center armrests were replaced with a custom tray sized for the Queen's Launer London handbag." That detail was removed when the car was decommissioned. The Royal Coat of Arms, inlaid into the walnut panels, was also taken out at the request of the Royal Mews. The Queen in London in June 2019.Isabel Infantes - PA Images - Getty ImagesThe car was photographed carrying Queen Elizabeth on multiple occasions, including at London Fashion Week in 2018 and at the Royal Automobile Club in London for the birthday party of her longtime friend, former racing driver Sir Jackie Stewart, in 2019. A private collector acquired it in March 2024, and it has been maintained by Bentley dealership Jack Barclay. It has approximately 6,000 miles on the clock and won the Bentley Drivers Club Trophy at the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace in 2024. Despite its 6.8-liter V8 engine, the car was said to have rarely exceeded nine miles an hour during royal engagements. You Might Also Like25 Watch Brands That Belong in Every CollectionThe 50 Best Animated Films to Watch With Your KidsThe 28 Best Westerns of All Time
