Positioned as the "spiritual successor" to the venerated KTM 640 Adventure, the new middleweight machine brings rally styling and long-distance capability back to the Single-cylinder LC4 platform.Largely built on the foundation of the KTM 690 Enduro R, the 690 Rally swaps in minimalist bodywork for comfort for those longer rides. Up front, a "rally tower" houses a compact 4.2-inch TFT display and navigation bar which is shrouded by a taller, clear windscreen, providing wind protection and navigation mounting without cluttering the rider's field of view.2027 ktm 690 rally first lookRange is extended thanks to the new dual front-mounted fuel tanks. Building on the Enduro's 3.51 gallon rear fuel tank, the Rally boasts a total fuel capacity of 5.28 gallons with the additional 1.8 gallons split between the front tanks. We're told this adds to the overall stability and weight distribution of the machine. Riders can also choose whether to draw fuel from the rear or front tanks to change the weight bias as they see fit.2027 ktm 690 rally first lookUnderneath the rally-inspired duds, the bike utilizes the proven LC4 Single, paired with fully adjustable WP XPLOR suspension components designed to handle everything from high-speed rips to technical singletrack. A suite of electronic rider aids manage ride modes, traction control, and ABS settings, no doubt the 690 Rally will feature many, if not all, of the same updates we saw on the Husqvarna 701 Enduro that we rode almost a year ago at the Husqvarna Trek in Portugal.2027 ktm 690 rally first lookAdvertisementAdvertisementThe 2027 KTM 690 Rally is set to roll off the Mattighofen production line in September and is scheduled to arrive at dealerships in October 2026.
