Aston Martin DBX GT Makes the Super SUV More ElegantAston MartinAston Martin has revealed the 2027 DBX GT, a more refined take on its super-SUV that will sit alongside the sportier DBX S.The DBX GT has the same 717-hp twin-turbo V-8, but the suspension and transmission have been retuned with a focus on comfort.Inside, the seats get new upholstery, with eye-catching stitching that runs along the side of the headrests.Aston Martin is expanding the DBX lineup as its super-SUV enters its seventh year. After adding the DBX S for the 2026 model year, 2027 sees the introduction of the new DBX GT, which brings the same 717 horsepower as the DBX S but in a less aggressive package focused more on luxury and comfort.Aston MartinThe DBX GT has cleaner styling than its racy S counterpart, with the wide grille trading mesh for a series of horizontal bars, offered in bright and dark finishes. These lines reappear next to the horizontal LED daytime running lights at the outer edges of the bumper, while the lower grille opening skips the red trim for a more elegant look. The two-piece metal side strake in the front fender wears a more graceful polished and satin dual finish, and the lower front bumper, side sills, and rear diffuser are all painted body color, instead of black as on the DBX S. The GT also rides on new 22-inch wheels with a Satin Titanium finish, wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Zero all-season tires as standard, although a sportier 23-inch wheel and Pirelli P-Zero summer tire package is available. There are also new quad exhaust pipes that sit side by side instead of atop each other, while a unique exhaust tune provides a "cleaner, richer tone," Aston Martin says.Aston MartinInside, Aston Martin focused on making the DBX feel even fancier via ornate new embroidery on the seats. This new stitching climbs up the side of the seats, framing the shoulder pads and headrest. The front and rear seats also gain extra cushioning, with a new 0.4-inch-thick memory foam layer added in. In the rear, the two outboard seats look more distinctly like separate seats thanks to more pronounced bolstering, while the middle seat gets upholstered in a different color.Aston Martin also fitted more opulent interior trim pieces, such as the anodized metal drive mode dial, while deep pile floor mats round out the decadent cabin. Aston Martin also says it reduced cabin noise through improvements to the body structure and added sound-deadening material in the door panels and wheel arches, as well as acoustic laminated rear side glass. The DBX GT also gets a standard panoramic glass roof.Aston MartinUnder the hood sits the twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8, which cranks out the same 717 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque as the DBX S. Aston Martin says the GT will match the S with a 3.1-second sprint to 60 mph and a 193-mph top speed. Stopping is handled by carbon-ceramic brakes with 16.5-inch discs up front and 15.4-inch discs at the rear.Still, the DBX GT gets a unique suspension setup, with reworked dampers that help absorb bumps on rough roads while still providing body control when driving fast. Aston Martin also says it revised the throttle pedal feel for improved precision, and the nine-speed automatic gearbox has been retuned for smoother-feeling shifts. A new transmission mount bushing also aims to better control the movement of the transmission relative to the body, while two new longitudinal dampers have been added between the body and rear subframe. The DBX GT will start reaching customers in the fourth quarter of this year. The GT will sit alongside the DBX S in the lineup for 2027, with the DBX 707 going the way of the dodo. Aston Martin has yet to divulge pricing, but we expect the DBX GT to start at around $290,000.➡️ Skip the lot.
