When the Wuling Hongguang EV hit the market, the little electric vehicle (EV) not only started a cult following for tiny EVs but also upped the car wrapping game. But now, owners aren’t just wrapping the cars, but modifying them too!
First, we have this taro coloured Mini EV that comes complete with its own rooftop deck. The owner even added a ladder on the side to get to the deck. That’s taking “rooftop deck” to another level!
Then there is this owner who converted the Mini EV into an off-road dweller complete with kangaroo bars and even headlamp grille protectors.
Perhaps the most extreme modification done on the Mini EV is this owner who converted the car into a tiny speedboat. The EV already looks cute enough as a speedboat, but the baby blue paint job just further adds to its cuteness.
From what we understand, these modifications are done by a specific car modification shop that was started solely to convert Mini EVs. The company has about 100,000 ideas available for owners to pick from.
The Wuling Mini EV is making waves not just in China but in various other ASEAN countries, especially Indonesia.
Since Wuling Indonesia is planning to officially launch the Mini EV as part of its EV offensive, perhaps we would see Mini EV detailing shops like these pop up there as well?
