The now-ubiquitous start button is part of a system that allows car owners to have convenient, keyless access to their new cars. But this wasn’t the case not too long ago.
Keyless entry and start are features that were once the reserve of premium vehicles. The technology that goes into the system used to be economically unviable to fit to mass-market cars. As the R&D progressively got paid off, the hardware eventually became low-cost enough that even economy cars now come equipped with the option.

Concept cars are rarely translated wholesale into production-ready ones. Bold looks aside, pesky things such as safety regulations and practicality criteria have to be fulfilled, and that usually means watering down the initial designs significantly.
Peugeot clearly felt that they could have both their cake and eat it when they lifted the covers off of their new 508 fastback, and we love them for it. The stately 508 nameplate makes a grand return to the international market, and it’s quite simply a stunner.
Is this sleek new flagship a sign of good things to expect from the French automaker down the road, or is it simply a flash in the pan?

Your Electric BMW May Be Able to Travel Almost 1000 KM in One Charge in the Future
Begone, range anxiety, for the future looks bright for EV batteries! Your electric BMW may be able to clock nearly 1000 kilometres in the future, thanks to a Michigan-based battery startup.
Our Next Energy, or ONE, has recently announced that it has signed an agreement with BMW Group to install their Gemini battery technology into BMW’s iX flagship electric SUV for testing purposes.
The battery features a dual-chemistry setup, with one for power delivery and the other for energy storage. With this in place, the battery is theoretically able to hold 600 miles (or about 965 kilometres) on a single charge, dramatically raising the benchmark of EV ranges.
To put this into perspective, this effectively means that a trip to KL and back on a single charge is possible, with even enough juice for a detour to Melaka on the return leg.

mReview: 2022 Lexus NX350 F Sport – Sexy, Smart, Sporty-ish
The Lexus NX can be had with a choice of different, electrified powertrains – this includes their first-ever Plug-In Hybrid. But what if you like your car unsullied by a hybrid drivetrain?
This all-new, second generation NX is the middle child in Lexus’ SUV portfolio, flanked by the smaller UX and the larger RX. The NX350 F-Sport test car, as featured, is the only variant in the line-up that does not have a hybridised powertrain. So electricity non-fans have this to opt for. But should they?
If that question was based purely on looks then in my opinion, it’s an easy yes. In my eyes, the NX is a handsome car, muscular yet elegant. Up front, the NX’s giant schnozz is actually functional, all that grille space allows for added airflow to the radiator and therefore improved cooling. On this new NX, the chrome grille has also been replaced by a black one to reduce weight and “to better express the NX’s proportions”, to quote Lexus.
