The 2022 KTM RC 390 was launched in India a few weeks ago and it is an all-new model, that replaces the current model on sale. The KTM RC 390 has been on sale since 2014 and the new generation model gets significant updates with new bodywork, new chassis, better electronics and improved power delivery. New Split Trellis Frame

The new RC 390 gets a new split trellis frame with a bolt-on subframe, with the goal of reducing weight. Of course, it is likely to affect the riding dynamics of the motorcycle as well, in a good way. KTM says the new frame will allow shorter riders to place their feet firmly on the ground.
Hollow Front Axle
(Hollow front axle means lesser un-sprung mass and weight savings)
The front axle is on the new model is hollow and the clamps are new too. KTM says that the new setup reduces un-sprung mass in a bid to improve handling.
Lighter Disc Brakes
(The disc brakes are now mounted on the wheel and are lighter too)
KTM also offers lighter disc brakes on the new RC 390 that claims to offer best-in-class stopping power. The contact area has been reduced and the disc is now directly mounted on the wheel. The callipers are now radially mounted to offer better bite.
Bigger Airbox
(The airbox on the new KTM RC 390 is up to 40% larger than before)
The airbox on the new model is about 40 per cent larger than on the previous model. It is said to improve torque delivery and throttle response. The airbox also gets ambience sensors to ensure accurate engine mapping.
New Alloy Wheels
(The alloy wheels are now 800 grams lighter)
The 2022 KTM RC 390 now gets what KTM calls bionic alloy wheels. They are said to offer better durability on the street and track along with being stiffer and lighter by 800 grams, to reduce the un-sprung mass. KTM also says that the

The seats on the new KTM RC 390 have been updated too, with both rider and pillion seats getting non-slip construction, with the pillion seat having a thicker foam construction, offering better comfort.
Bigger Fuel Tank
(The airbox is now 40% bigger on the new KTM RC 390)
The new RC 390 also gets a bigger fuel tank, with a capacity of 13.7 litres, with it being moved further forward, to offer better dynamics. Also, it gets ergonomic knee areas for better movement on the racetrack.
New TFT Instrument Console
(The TFT Instrument console is the same as the one found in the 390 Duke and RC 390)
Another big update is the addition of the instrument console that is seen the KTM 390 Duke and the 390 Adventure, now on the RC 390. There is Bluetooth connectivity for calls and music along with controls for ABS, traction control. Of course, in terms of features, the RC 390 also gets quick-shifter and cornering ABS as standard fitment.
New Switchgear
The motorcycle also gets new switch cube, which is the same as the ones found on the KTM 390 Duke and the KTM 390 Adventure and can be used to operate various functions on the TFT screen.
