February 2023 saw the Hero Splendor continue its dominance of the Indian two-wheeler market for yet another month with the Honda Activa and Bajaj Pulsar also finishing on the podium.

1) Hero Splendor – 288,605 Units
The Hero Splendor remained the king of the two-wheeler market in February 2023 with the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer selling 288,605 units of the entry-level motorcycle.
Sales of the Hero Splendor rose by 48.97 per cent (94,874 units) Year-over-Year compared to the 193,731 units of the bike that were sold in Feb 2022. The Hero Splendor will face more competition with the recent launch of the Honda Shine 100.
2) Honda Activa – 174,503 Units
India’s most popular scooter was the only other two-wheeler in the market to hit six figures last month. Honda sold 174,503 units of the Activa scooter last month which is a 20.08 per cent (29,186 units) gain over Feb 2022’s 145,317 units.
3) Bajaj Pulsar – 80,106 Units
India’s most popular sports bike lineup is third in our list of best-selling two-wheelers in India last month. A total of 80,106 Pulsars rolled off Bajaj showroom floors last month.
Sales of the Pulsar lineup last month increased by 45.78 per cent (25,155 units) compared to Feb 2022 when Bajaj sold 54,951 units of its sporty motorcycle for the masses. Expect Pulsar sales to continue to increase thanks to the launch of the new 2023 220F and the updated NS160 & NS200.
4) Hero HF Deluxe – 56,290 Units
Hero sold 56,290 units of the HF Deluxe last month. Sales of the entry-level commuter motorcycle dropped by 25.86 per cent (19,637 units) compared to Feb 2022 when Hero sold 75,927 HF Deluxes in India.
5) TVS Jupiter – 53,891 Units
The TVS Jupiter continues to be the second best-selling scooter marque in India and the Hosur-based manufacturer sold 53,891 units of the gearless scooter last month.
Sales of the Jupiter grew by 14.44 per cent (6,799 units) compared to the 47,092 units of the scooter that were sold in Feb 2022.
6) Suzuki Access – 40,194 Units
The Suzuki Access is the third scooter on this list with the Japanese marque selling 40,194 units in Feb 2023. Sales of the Access grew by 7.15 per cent (2,682 units) Y-o-Y compared to Feb 2022 when Suzuki shipped out 37,512 units of the scooter.
7) Honda Shine – 35,594 Units
The Honda Shine is the current king of the 125cc segment and the Japanese brand sold 35,594 units of the motorcycle last month.
Sales of the Shine 125 dropped by 56.43 per cent (46,106 units) Y-o-Y compared to the 81,700 units of the commuter bike Honda shipped out in Feb 2022.
8) TVS XL 100 – 35,346 Units
The old faithful workhorse of the Indian bike market, the TVS XL 100, reached 35,346 new homes last month. However, sales of the XL 100 dipped slightly Y-o-Y, dropping by 502 units (1.4 per cent) compared to the 35,848 units sold in Feb 2022.
9) TVS Apache – 34,935 Units
The TVS Apache lineup was 9th on the sales charts for Feb 2023 with the Hosur-based manufacturer selling 34,935 units of its sporty motorcycle lineup last month.
The Apache lineup more than doubled its numbers compared to last year, growing by 112.94 per cent (18,529 units). TVS sold 16,406 units of the Apache lineup in Feb 2022.
10) TVS Raider – 30,346 Units
The Raider is the sporty-looking commuter offering for the 125cc market from TVS. 30,346 Raiders found new homes last month, which was a 105.82 per cent (15,602 units) Y-o-Y gain compared to the 14,744 units of the sporty commuter sold in Feb 2022.
