I've decided that I am so important that I deserve a say in what the worst car released in 2021 was and therefore I am going to do a quick article on my least favourite car from each category.
The decisions are all mine, and if you don't agree, never mind. To make this slightly more interactive, I'm going to add a poll to see what you think is the overall worst car of the year.
SUV (and everything similar)
This one is easy and hard at the same time, because all SUVs are an atrocity of motoring and therefore its easy to pick bad ones, but its hard to narrow it down.
Luckily, I am brilliant and I have managed to narrow it down to the Lexus LX, an abomination of size and somehow, despite the fact the car its self is massive, the grille is proportionally bigger to it than Jeremy Clarkson is to Richard Hammond. Other than the immense ugliness of the front end, the rear too looks like it was designed to look like a shocked and angry robot, which happened to have a huge forehead.
Words can't express how much I hate it, the only car that springs to mind that I hate more is the BMW XM, but that's only a concept so I haven't counted it.
You may be wondering why I didn't choose the Mustang Mach E and I can give you a perfectly valid explanation; I forgot about it. Also, from what I've heard, its not actually that bad as a car, its just the fact its called a Mustang, which I too hate, its just not worthy of the worst car of the year title.
Sports cars
This one is quite tricky, as there were plenty of brilliant sports cars this year and very few of them were actually bad.
Once again, against all odds, I have found a car that is, in my opinion, the worst of this year. And that car is the Chevrolet Corvette C8 ZO6. Now, this isn't an awful car, its just underwhelming and not really in the spirit of the Corvette name.
First off, its mid-engined. That's not really a bad thing, its just not the way a muscle car should be.
Also, it has a flat-plane crankshaft, which also isn't that bad, it helps with some mechanical things, I think, but it doesn't make a very good noise and once again, its not really in the spirit of the true American muscle car.
Looks good, but I don't think its actually that good

Supercars/Hypercars
Well, this was a much easier decision for me as there were two in the running, oddly both Lambos, and one (the Countach LPI 800-4) isn't available for public consumption so I've been left with one option; the Sian.
Once again, this is a car that looks great and is technically very good, its just…well… I'm not sure. I just don't particularly like it, its missing that special something that makes a car great for me, not to mention the fact that Lamborghinis are just a bit much for me.
It looks good…although now I look at it, it does look a bit bugeyed.

Saloon (sedan)
The winner of this one was actually quite an easy choice as its there were 2 bad saloons released this year, the Subaru WRX and the Honda Integra, and the I didn't particularly like the old Integra, unlike the old Impreza, which was great, so the Impreza it is.
In recent years, the Impreza/WRX has really taken a turn for the worse and the newest sadly follows the trend perfectly. Its plasticky, ugly and really disproportionally tall, which really ruins it. I would talk about it more but its making me sad.

Estate (wagon)
You know what, all estates have been pretty decent this year so you can decide in the comments what you reckon the worst was.
Overall
Well, I'm lazy so I reckon that you can decide on the overall worst car of the year (also, that makes me seem like less of a dictator)
