These are the first images of the latest Pagani C10 Hypercar programme and it looks unmistakably like an evolved Huayra although a lot more demure than we expected. The good news is; there is still a V12 perched behind the driver’s seat!

Only last week, the world was shown some profile sketches of the niche Italian supercar. Now, the first Pagani C10 Hypercar has made its camouflage debut in some testing of an early prototype. Things move pretty fast in the production process but the latest Pagani C10 will move even faster. The person of which the company is named after stated that the newcomer will be more focused around performance as opposed to all-out power. That doesn’t mean it won’t come with more power since it will still employ the sonorous AMG-sourced 6-litre V12 but this time around, it may come with 20 to 30 kW more than before. Listen to the V12 here.

More on the test mule itself then. Don’t take too much away from what is being shown here considering this is the first prototype that has made its way onto public roads for testing. Because of this, it even seems to be equipped with off the shelf parts taken directly from its predecessor; the sculpted Huayra. This includes the dainty carbon fibre mirrors and similar looking headlights while the quad-exit centre-mounted exhaust tips are unmistakably that of every Pagani antecedent before it.

The Pagani C10 isn’t identical to its predecessor however, with details on every panel differentiating it. The front end boasts large corner vents with scoops alongside them. There also appears to be an air vent behind the roof which can also be seen as a design feature on the sketches that were shown to us last week. The vertically mounted tail lights look more rudimentary than anything else so we doubt this design will feature in the final design although an intricate diffuser running the width of the car sits below them.
We only have to wait until the 12th of September when Horacio Pagani unveils the new model in Milan but as that date edges closer we can expect to see test mules being spotted more frequently.
