The Nettuno V6 found in the Maserati MC20 is capable of some impressive power and Novitec have just upped the ante, getting their carbon-equipped test car from standstill to 100 km/h in only 2,8 seconds.

This is only 0,1 seconds faster than its standard sprint time, but these marginal numbers convert to small distances on the racetrack and that is exactly what the Maserati MC20 is designed for. Being the first offering to the supercar segment in a longer period than Maserati should be proud, the MC20 offers with it some state-of -the-art tech which directly converts to impressive performance.
The model comes off of the production floor with 463 kW and 729 N.m but once Novitec have fiddled with it, the ratings are pushed up to 523 kW and 818 N.m. The tuner states the top speed from 323 km/h has been raised to more than 325 km/h although no official number has been provided.
Novitec have unlocked this extra performance with the plug-and-play N-Tronic modules that adjust the factory settings of the engine control system. This includes new injection, boost pressure control and ignition timing. More hardware exists in the Novitec MC20 in the form of a high-performance exhaust system with sports mufflers while the exterior has had a once over with aero tweaks.

Up front is a new lip spoiler and new ducktail rear spoiler on the otherside of the compact supercar. Some more carbon inserts are found on the bonnet and air intakes. On all four corners are NF 10 wheels which have been developed by Novitec in conjunction with Vossen. The staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear help further emphasize the MC20’s wedge shape. The interior can be specified to customer preference with leather and Alcantara on the agenda.
