Mini’s range is going electric, and this will mean new models with new names.
Bernhard Filser- The Mini Clubman, on sale since the 2015 model year, will leave the lineup in 2024 as Mini plans to overhaul its offerings.
- Mini will produce a total of 1969 Final Edition examples of the Clubman, in a nod to the launch year of the original Clubman.
- The automaker plans several new electric models, including crossovers, that will arrive in the next few years.
If it feels like the current-gen Mini Clubman has been on sale for a while, that’s because it has been around since the 2015 model year. In fact, the whole Mini range is now nearing the decade mark. But while the Mini Cooper is going to stick around for a while longer, the Clubman will leave the lineup around this time next year.
To give it a worthy sendoff, Mini will produce a total of 1969 Final Edition Clubmans, in honor of the year of the nameplate’s debut. The Final Edition models will receive exterior details in a color dubbed Shimmer Copper, including the upper one-third of the grille crossbar and the grille surrounds.
The two-tone design of the wheel graphic will also receive a tinted clear lacquer finish in this copper color. The Final Edition cars will wear “1 of 1969” badging on the C-pillar sides, while the door sill trims will feature “Final Edition” lettering.
On the inside, the lower spoke of the steering wheel will display Final Edition lettering. The dashboard trim on the central instrument panel, meanwhile, will feature the matte shimmering Sage Green Dark color, as well as the Shimmer Copper color. The “1 of 1969” badges will also be applied to the floor mats and the front passenger side dash trim.
The interior dash trim will feature this unique copper color as well.

Just what will replace the Clubman?
As part of its plan to become an EV-only brand by 2030, Mini will release a number of electric models in the coming years, including an EV version of the Countryman that we saw earlier this month. An electric MPV is in the works, too, and it is expected to receive the Traveller nameplate.
EV versions of the next-gen Mini Cooper hatch are also understood to be in the works, including yet another sub-Cooper electric model.
A more direct replacement to the Clubman is believed to have been previewed by the Aceman concept that will sit above the Cooper hatchback and below the Countryman in Mini’s lineup. In fact, the concept itself seems like a logical evolution of the Clubman’s role in the lineup, though its official name remains unconfirmed for the moment.
