The special edition celebrates the final year of the F-Type. With Jaguar going all-electric in 2025, this'll be the last internal-combustion Jaguar sports car.
JaguarJaguar will be an all-electric brand by 2025. Its current lineup of internal-combustion cars will be gone by mid-decade, spelling the end of the V-8 Jaguar as we know it. And the F-Type won’t even make it that long. Jaguar announced Tuesday that 2023 will be the last year for its current flagship sports car, and that it’s launching a special-edition model to commemorate 75 years of Jaguar performance cars.

The special edition will be available on both standard V-8 and R models, called the F-Type 75 and the F-Type R 75, respectively, both offered with a fixed or convertible roof. Special edition cars get unique badges, one of two gloss black wheel designs (depending on if you opt for the R), lightweight seats, silhouette badging on the center console and tread plates, and an ebony suede-cloth headliner.

Both R and standard 75th-anniversary cars get revised rear suspension knuckles made from aluminum die castings and larger wheel bearings. Jaguar says the improved control of the rear tire patch improves steering feel, something we’d have to test to get our heads around. F-Type R 75s also have revised upper ball joints that increase camber and toe stiffness. All special edition cars come with Jaguar’s active suspension setup and an electronic rear limited-slip differential.
Output for either V-8 model is unchanged. The standard car makes 444 hp and the R produces 575 hp. F-Type 75s come in rear- or all-wheel-drive spec, while the R is all-wheel-drive-only. The four-cylinder base model sticks around for the F-Type’s final model year in other markets, but the 296-hp version won’t get any of the special edition goodies. At least it now comes with 20-inch wheels, too, as part of the lineup’s final-year simplification.

Deliveries will begin in January of 2025. There’s no word on pricing for the special edition, but the current V-8 F-Type coupe starts at $77,975.00.
