It's a 917-horsepower monster.
Brabus has taken the already incredible Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance and turned it into the most powerful Brabus product ever.
It's called the Brabus 930 and boasts 917 horsepower and 1,143 lb-ft of torque. With a significant increase over the base model's 744 hp and 1,084 lb-ft of torque, this rocket on four wheels can now slingshot from 0-62 mph in just 2.8 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 196 mph top speed.
This model stacks up nicely with what other tuners have already done, even if it is down a few ponies compared to the Opus tuning package. Where the Brabus excels is adding aggressive exterior design features that match the power output, and we're not talking about the bold and brash method that Mansory tends to use.
Instead, this stealth package will fly under the radar until you mash the throttle.
First, we have to talk about the power upgrades because they're extensive. The Brabus PowerXtra B40S-930 performance upgrade starts with two newly designed Brabus high-performance turbochargers with larger compressor units and a modified core assembly to produce a max boost pressure of 1.8 bar.
From there, Brabus works on the electronic engine controls. Each cylinder bank has a Brabus PowerXtra control module that recalibrates boost pressure to increase power without impacting durability. To the engine alone, 86 hp and 74 lb-ft of torque were added, while the 201 hp of the electric motor was kept intact.
A new Brabus sports exhaust was added that features a quiet “Coming Home” mode and a “Sport” mode.
It wouldn't be a Brabus product without the looks; many of them are aerodynamically functional. The tuner offers the choice of either a high-gloss surface finish seen in the pictures, or a matte coating. The front spoiler, caps for the large air intakes in the bumper, and the unique radiator grille give striking looks while stopping lift at high speeds.
At the rear, the carbon diffuser perfectly shapes the new tailpipes, while the rear spoiler and carbon side mirror caps round things out.
The vehicle now sits on staggered Monoblock Z “Platinum Edition” wheels 21 inches in the front and 22 inches in the rear. The specially forged wheels wear Continental SportContact 7 high-performance tires, making the vehicle look more menacing and helping with handling. They can be further accentuated with the optional Brabus Airmatic Sport unit that lowers the ride height by 20 mm, depending on the mode.
Once you open the doors, you'll realize the interior is as wonderfully appointed as the exterior thanks to the Brabus Masterpiece division handling the appointments. The vehicle pictured features black leather upholstery with contrasting red stitching. The seat surfaces and the floor feature triangle quilting, with extra special attention paid to the seat cushions for optimal comfort.
The rest of the interior is then filled with different carbon elements, Brabus door pins, and anodized aluminum pedals. The door sills feature carbon scuff plates with a backlit Brabus logo that changes color depending on the interior lighting chosen at the time. Finally, this time in “Rocket Red,” glazing is applied to numerous interior elements to make things pop.
The entire package is very extensive and, as such, commands a hefty price. Including a 19% German VAT, the model's price comes in at a whopping $348,351 at today's conversion rates. This is an increase of $168,351 over the regular Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance's base price. Is it worth it? Who knows, but as one of the most extreme Brabus creations ever made, it may be worth it for bragging rights alone.
