Some may not recall a firm by the name of Bertone – myself included. An Italian-based house owned by two brothers seeking to showcase and manifest the idea of “Italian excellence”. The company has changed hands many times and has seen some tough chapters, however, now under new management with a revival event around the corner. The somewhat baby-faced automotive manufacturer has released a teaser of its next four-wheeled venture, which is said to be “ a timeless icon reborn”. While there are some examples of Bertone’s original designs, there is a clear admiration shown towards Lamborghini.

Details? We have none. Well, that’s not exactly true. We know that on the 21st of December, the world premiere of the firm’s hyper chariot is set to be unveiled. A strange addition to its release date was the information that it would be able to run on recycled fuel. Expect it to rub shoulders with the greats such as the Emira of Valhalla. In terms of its design, it’s like a chimaera. Seemingly composed of a myriad of signature design cues from other hypercars, the Bertone hypercar is a car of a thousand faces.

While hypercars reign supreme as the most outlandish and outrageously fast cars on the planet, any new entry into this niche automotive genre doesn’t go unnoticed. And when you claim that this newcomer is also able to be powered by fuel made of plastic waste then you’ve got car nuts and eco-warriors both in a frenzy.
At present, you can sign up for the reveal on the Bertone website to get access to the hypercar’s reveals later this month.
