The automaker has made everything from charging to navigation that little bit easier.
Teslascope has uncovered a new over-the-air (OTA) software update that brings several new convenience features to Tesla owners. The software update, 2023.26, will introduce new functions aimed at making life easier for motorists.
Customers with a Powerwall will be able to choose how much energy comes from solar instead of other sources, which has the potential to cut down on charging bills. If you want to use more solar energy as opposed to the grid, all you have to do is alter the settings in the “Charge on Solar” section of the Tesla app. This does require you to have v4.22.5 of the app and Powerwall v23.12.10.
For cars, the Automatic Headlight function has also been improved. Now, the headlights are switched on automatically when the wipers are activated. For this to work, however, the headlights need to be set on Auto.

Another useful update pertains to the navigation. If you set a destination to a business or restaurant, for example, the system will be able to tell you that the destination may be closing soon or will be closed by the time you reach it. This is a very handy feature and will allow Tesla owners to plan with greater ease.
On the entertainment front, the Spotify app has reportedly been given a fresh new look. In terms of functionality, nothing has changed: passengers can still listen to music, podcasts, and audiobooks with ease. Instead, the interface has been revised, although we are yet to see what it looks like.
If you make use of your Tesla's in-car gaming feature, you'll be pleased to know Bluetooth controllers can be used for the Arcade. Customers simply need to pair a compatible controller. Teslascope says this works best with PlayStation 5 controllers.

But that's not all. Driving at night should be a trifle more relaxing, thanks to the addition of warmer touchscreen colors. Owners can minimize unnecessary glare by reducing blue light in the display menu.
Extricating your vehicle out of tricky parking spots should be easier than before, thanks to the Camera View function operated via the Tesla app. This allows you to view multiple camera angles when monitoring the vehicle's surroundings. This feature is only available to Tesla customers with Mobile App v4.22.5 and Premium Connectivity.
Tesla consistently upgrades its vehicles via OTA updates. In December, the company rolled out Track Mode for the Model Y Performance. An improved Dog Mode feature was also included, allowing you to keep your eyes on your dog via the cabin camera.

First discovered by Teslarati, the automaker has also decided to give the Model 3 and Model Y an exterior update of sorts. Previously, these entry-level models only had one no-cost paint option, and that was white. However, the website now shows the standard color has been changed to Midnight Silver Metallic. Customers who preferred the clean look of Pearl White Multi-Coat will have to fork out an additional $1,000 for the finish.
This color remains the default choice for the larger Model S and Model X, which command $1,000 for the Midnight Silver hue. Tesla has long been criticized for its limited color palette, which currently comprises five shades. However, Tesla designer Franz von Holzhausen has suggested that US-based customers may receive more paint finishes to choose from in the future.
Overseas, buyers can choose between the new Quicksilver and Midnight Cherry Red colors, which add depth and richness thanks to the complicated painting process.
@elonmusk we are inundated with white Model 3s and Ys. Please change the free color to something else. Thanks. Silver? Bring back silver? Just a thought. Also where’s Floki?
