Tata claims to have sold the last 50,000 EVs in just 9 months.
Tata Motors has announced the achievement of a new milestone as EV sales crossed the 1 lakh unit mark.
To mark this occasion, the company organized a drone show, showcasing its journey over the last 3 years, from the first 10,000 EVs sold to 1,00,000 units. Tata claims to have sold the last 50,000 EVs in just 9 months.
According to the company, Tata EVs have covered a distance of 1.4 billion kilometers. That is equivalent to three round trips to the Sun. Customers have collectively saved 2,19,432 tons of CO2 emissions and Rs 7 billion on fuel costs during the ownership of their EVs.
Tata Motors plans to further expand its EV portfolio. It plans to launch four new electric SUVs by 2024. These include the Nexon EV facelift, Punch EV, Harrier EV and Curvv EV.
