Han's new whip is finally making its debut.
VeilSide has finally unveiled the Nissan Z it was commissioned to build for an upcoming Fast & Furious film. News of this car's existence first emerged in November 2022, and now VeilSide has announced that it will make its public debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon this weekend.
Actor Sung Kang posted images of the car on his Instagram profile, referring to it as his Han's 400Z. VeilSide is calling it the FFZ400, and it has a dual-tone exterior inspired by the VeilSide Mazda RX-7 Kang's character drove (or rather slid around) in Tokyo Drift. The RX-7 is one of the returning characters that will feature in the upcoming movie.
The character Han actually has little to no affiliation with Nissan in the movie series, but Sung Kang is a well-known brand ambassador. It's a bit of real life spilling over into art. (We use the term “art” extremely loosely.)

As you can see, Han's Z has received several design upgrades, including an extended bumper, sizeable side skirts, and massive fender extensions. The rear has a spoiler that rises up from the wraparound body kit. Other additions include an air suspension that slams it to the floor and 20-inch forged alloys from VeilSide's own catalog.
Thanks to VeilSide's 'Gram updates, we know the car has an upgraded ECU and a custom-built exhaust, but the final power figures still need to be released. The Japanese tuner is likely keeping a few things secret for the unveiling this weekend.
As standard, the Nissan Z's twin-turbocharged V6 produces 400 horsepower, which is good enough for most, but not enough for a Fast & Furious movie. Still, things may have changed now that the film series has officially gone green.

Speaking of, the next installment in the franchise, Fast X, which has already upset California locals, will hit theaters on 19 May 2023. The director of the final two installments, Justin Lin, allegedly shot the two movies back-to-back, which means Fast 11 is also in the bag. It will likely hit cinemas one year after Fast X in 2024, which lines up with Veilside's statement that this particular Z will feature in a movie driven by Sung Kang in 2024. Veilside has never mentioned the franchise by name, but this has to be one of the worst-kept secrets of all time.
Or it might have a starring role in the upcoming F&F spinoff, Letty. Whatever the case, we can't wait to not watch the final installments of the famous franchise.
