A prophecy fulfilled and an undertaking completed is what Rolls-Royce tout as the world’s first ultra-luxury electric super coupe. This is the Rolls-Royce Spectre and it comes with all of the bells and whistles you’d expect from the British firm, just in pure silence.

The final power, acceleration and range figures are still being refined, as the extraordinary undertaking of finessing Spectre enters its final phase before concluding in the second quarter of 2023. Preliminary data shows that Spectre is expected to have an all-electric range of 520 kilometres WLTP and offer 900 N.m of torque from its 430 kW powertrain. It is anticipated to achieve 0-100km/h in 4,5 seconds. With many months of testing and optimisation of Spectre still ahead, these figures are subject to change ahead of official confirmation prior to market launch in Q4 2023.
The model has been spotted on multiple occasions, donned with testing camouflage and racking up impressive mileage in the pursuit of perfection. 2,5 million km to be exact is how far the model has travelled before its creators were satisfied with its capabilities with refinements at the core of the project.
Using the Phantom coupe as a spiritual predecessor, Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO, stated that the model was conceptually conceived with as few lines as possible, retaining the minimal yet extravagant aesthetic that has accompanied these high-end creations from the advent of their existence.

A prophecy fulfilled may sound like corporate jargon seeking to bolster the intrinsic link to their latest product, but Rolls-Royce founder Charles Rolls was quoted stating: “The electric car is perfectly noiseless and clean. There is no smell or vibration and they should become very useful when fixed charging stations can be arranged.” Although it has taken over a century for this prophecy to be fulfilled, Rolls-Royce reaffirm that Spectre is a Rolls-Royce first and an electric car second.

This all means that the level of opulence and luxury that accompany the Spirit of Ecstasy adorned models will remain which is evident with the starlight interior headlining and attention to detail both inside and out.
Pricing is not confirmed at the moment but the EV will be positioned between the Cullinan and Phantom. Deliveries will commence in Q4 of 2023 with commissioning available immediately.
